The story behind Omorfia
I've spent most of my life surrounded by change. Growing up across different countries, building a life and a home in more than one place, and navigating the kind of upheaval that teaches you — sometimes the hard way — just how much our surroundings shape how we feel.
That understanding is at the heart of everything I do at Omorfia — and it's the reason I do it at all.
Some of the clients who find their way to me are at a turning point. A bereavement. A health scare. A relationship ending. A new beginning. An empty nest. Whatever has brought them here, the feeling is often the same: a deep desire to finally create a home that feels entirely theirs. A place to exhale. A sanctuary. That is a feeling I understand completely — and it's what makes this work so much more than a job to me; your home should hug you when you walk through the door.
My background
I hold a professional qualification in Interior Design from the National Design Academy, which gave formal structure to years of hands-on experience accumulated across projects in the UK, Spain, Cyprus and Kuwait. That breadth of experience — across different cultures, climates, architectural styles and ways of living — has shaped an approach that is genuinely open, curious and deeply personal.
Beyond interior design, I have trained in upholstery, furniture restoration and floristry — skills that bring an additional layer of craftsmanship and tactile understanding to every project I work on. I notice things that others might miss, and I care deeply about getting the details right.
I am proud to have been awarded the Best of Houzz Service Award in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026. These awards are voted for by clients, which makes them particularly meaningful to me — they reflect not just the quality of the finished design, but the experience of working together to get there.
I am also an Associate Member of the British Institute of Interior Design — the UK's leading professional body for interior designers.
my style
My design aesthetic is rooted in classic and transitional styles, blending timeless elegance with unexpected details and a strong respect for the character of each individual home. But above all, I believe that a home should reflect its owner — not a designer's signature style, not a passing trend, and not someone else's idea of what beautiful looks like.
Sustainability is woven into everything I do, not as an afterthought but as a genuine part of the design process. I will almost always suggest ways to make a project more considered and responsible — whether that's specifying natural or sustainable materials, finding ways to repurpose or upcycle what you already own, or sourcing vintage and pre-loved pieces that bring character and history to a space. Even on smaller projects, I encourage the use of low VOC paints, which are kinder both to the environment and to the people living in the home, and I always ensure that any new timber furniture is sourced from FSC-certified, responsibly managed forests. Beautiful interiors and responsible choices are not mutually exclusive — in my experience, the most characterful and enduring homes are almost always the ones that have been designed with both in mind.
How I work
Every Omorfia project begins the same way: with listening. Before I suggest a single colour, recommend a single product or draw a single line, I want to understand you — how you live, what you love, what isn't working, and what you want your home to feel like when it's done.
From there, I work with complete flexibility. Some clients want a little expert guidance and the confidence to take it forward themselves. Others want to hand the whole project over and trust that every detail will be handled. Most fall somewhere in between. Whatever level of support feels right for you, I'll work around it.
I manage all projects personally from start to finish — you will always be dealing with me directly, and I will always be the designer working on your home. For larger or more technically complex projects, I draw on a trusted team of specialists who work alongside me on a project basis. This includes a CAD specialist for detailed technical drawings and photorealistic 3D renders, and junior designers who support with research, sourcing and presentation work when needed. Every member of this wider team is carefully chosen and works to the same standards I hold myself to.
Alongside my core office team, I also work with a network of trusted contractors, trades and suppliers built up over more than a decade — people whose work I know, whose quality I trust, and whose values align with my own. When I recommend someone, it's because I would have them in my own home.
I also give back to the industry I love — supporting and mentoring newly qualified and emerging designers across the UK as they build their practices and find their confidence. It's something I feel strongly about, and it keeps me closely connected to the next generation of talent coming through.
What you can expect from me
I will always be honest with you — about what will work and what won't, about timescales and budgets, and about anything that arises during a project that you need to know. I will always return your calls and emails promptly, keep you informed at every stage, and treat your home and your investment with the same care I would want someone to treat mine.
And I will always, always put you first. Your story. Your home. Your sanctuary.
